Just hop on a bike and you’ll discover New York City in a way you never imagined. Ever visited a haunted house in Brooklyn? Taken in the vastness of Manhattan from atop the George Washington Bridge? Explored hidden ravines in the heart of the Bronx?
I offer bike tours for people who want to get a different view of the city. Not the usual shuffle around Central Park, but a real exploration of neighborhoods for visitors in town for just a few days. The bike routes have been specially designed to showcase parts of New York City that most people will never get a chance to see or wouldn’t dream of visiting on their own.
The group makes frequent stops along the way to admire the examples of architecture in a cityscape that keeps changing all the time, but also to taste the incredible variety of ethnic food on offer in the different neighborhoods.
The tours on the list take us to some of the lesser known parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn, like Harlem and Red Hook, or must-see sites like the most recently built skyscrapers. There are also visits to boroughs with names that you may have only heard of, like Staten Island or Queens. For the more venturesome, there’s a tour through the sketchier parts of town – like the legendary Bronx, or we can push on as far as the marshes of Jamaica Bay, near JFK airport. The tour to New Jersey is also an unforgettable experience, where you will get a chance to view the Statue of Liberty from a seldom seen angle.
